Habit for Your Skin

So, basically I've been wanting to post this a week ago, but my internet broke so I didn't get the chance to. Here it is, 2 weeks-post-facial experience at Surface Skin Habit. Surface Skin Habit is a new skin clinic located in Setiabudi. It's right across St Ali Jakarta –Melbourne coffee shop  that just also open in the same area under the wings of Common Grounds (Congrats!) and right beside this salon, I think it was Headquarter? All of them are located on the opposite side of Starbucks and Burger King.
Surface Skin Habit offers you a wide range of service, from facial to hair removal. They have doctors too who can help you and give you consultation for your skin.

I've been having breakouts a month ago, I think it was the hormon around my forehead (never had these before! It was so annoying) and one on my cheek. So I decided to get a facial and it was my first ever facial experience.
I've never did a facial before, so I didn't know what to expect. There are few rooms there and everything is quite aesthetically pleasing –you can say it's very hip and trendy, with all the black and white tiles, the look of the clinic is stylish and very instagrammable.
They have all these cool gadgets like a skin clinic would do, and the nice lady started to prep me up. She cleaned out all the make up that I have, after that scrubs, and she starts to extract all those acne from my face. Seeing it was so much fun and I drifted to sleep. When I woke up, she started to injecting the serum to my face using this cool machine, honestly I've never felt my face so plumpy and moist after that :)
They said it's possible for me to have a post-acne after the facial, and I didn't. Until 1 week ago suddenly it came out, but I'm pretty sure it's a hormonal thing, not a reaction to the serum/treatment.
Other than the cool device they have for the exfoliator and serum injection, their facial treatment was so fast. It took me only 45 minutes to finish the whole thing. So basically you can just come there between your busy schedule! The nice sweet lady told me that some people would just come before a meeting to get a facial done. So, if you want to make an appointment you can check their instagram @surfaceskinhabit and find their contact details! Hope my review helps :) Have a great sleep tonight!

#COTTONINKBRUNCH

Last week, the sweet people of Cotton Ink invited me over to their #cottoninkstore in Kemang Timur 74C, to join their brunch ! I was so excited..! Saw the invitation, I figured the theme would be 'tropical', and I was right. Colorful flowers, pineapples, and those small umbrellas on your drinks filled the table.
How cute is that lemon name sign and pineapple vase?!
Thank God there was no traffic so I arrived pretty much on time. Not my first visit to the store, the first time I delivered the flower arrangements for their first ever brunch! I think the store is very cute, very homey, and definitely a good place to take ootd pics.

Comfort Zone
We were playing dress up, taking pictures -lots of them, and most importantly we ate good food. There was this bun from 'GO BUN' - and I wonder if they really sell their buns in package for goban (read; for  go-bun) aka 50k rupiah. Please someone give me the answer, I'm really curious.
Glad I could be a part of the event, met new people and exchanged some fun stories that includes Korean dramas (who wouldve thought, right?)

Dry Skin? No Problem...

It's Saturday! How are you going to spend your day? For me, I'm going to stay at home, chill –watch Suits (I'm catching up to Season 5, poor Harvey), do some flower arrangements, more chilling, and share with you something that's I've been using this past month.

I got the opportunity to try Vaseline Intensive Care: Advance Strength –before I got into what I think about this product, I want to share a bit about my skin type. I have really dry skin – both face and body. I don't really give much thought about it until I was in university. I didn't know which one I should try but I decided to use Jergens, but it was okay, then when I went to Melbourne, I found St Ives, and I was so happy with the result that it gives me. Unfortunately St Ives is not available in Jakarta, Guardian had them for a while but not anymore, so I went into a moisturizer shortage. I was confused but then I got lucky. I got the chance to try this one. I gave it a go, and I say it honestly, I love it.

When I was in shortage of moisturizer, my skin got really dry again. You can tell by how it's really easy to get that "white" marks when I try to scratch my skin. And boy, if you know how cold my office is. It's like Iceland cold. It's the point where I have to go out every 2 hours to defroze myself –and to be in a very cold room for almost 10 hours, it's bad for your skin. So I tried Vaseline Advance Strength and I feel and see something, my skin stays plump for almost 12 hours. I thought maybe it's just beginner's luck, that's why I stay loyal to use it since December and until now. My skin is very hydrated now, I can see that no white marks seen at all. I will purchase this lotion next time for sure :) Satisfaction 100%.. The lotion itself is not too thick, not watery. It is very easy to apply, and the best thing – it does not leave a sticky finish to the skin which I hate so much. It comes with a good smell which is just the additional thumbs up. I'm happy that the product really delivers what is written on the packaging, "intensive care: advance strength"

The good thing about this lotion it is also come in various sizes. You got the big size that comes with a pump, I put it in closet so I won't forgot to use it before I dress myself after shower. It also comes in a small, beauty pouch size fit that I can bring around. For example to yoga or ride class. No need to transfer lotions into empty tubes!
I would really recommend this lotion if you have really have bad dry skin like me. But don't forget to drink lots of water and good night sleep. Cus you know it's not enough just to apply it from the outside, it has to come from the inside too. Share with me if you have any other good products for dry skin, chapped heels, I'll be waiting. Have a great weekend! xo

new year new...

So in October, I was thinking to get a hair cut. I've never been sure when it comes to my hair plus I don't like cutting it short. Why? Cause I know the second I cut it, I will regret it - well okay not the second after, but at least one day later I will regret. How do I know? Experience.

I had this shroom (mushroom) hair back in 2009, oh boy please don't try to look for it. It's hideous. I don't even know why I had the balls to cut it. It took me 4 freaking years to have my long locks back.

But suddenly, oh the lobs are so in- plus I'm a complete amateur in hair styling. The only thing that I can use is Beauphoria's automatic curler - and sometimes I even have troubles using it. Another thing, my hair went all frizzy when I dyed it back in 2013 (Korean Wavesss yall). Hairloss, dryscalp, amateur styling, the list goes on. So I decided, what the heck I cut my hair. Not short though, I like that I still can tie it up. It's a mob - moody bob. Cause it's my hair style, and I'm moody.

What do you think? So far no complains yet, I cut it on 30 Jan 2015, I know it's the cliche new year new hair thing but I do really hope for better things in 2016. So guys, Happy New Year. May the best things happen this year xo
